Hollis Croft Student Accommodation
Aztec Construction successfully delivered the design and build of a new 519 bed student accommodation spanning across two blocks over 10 storey and 27 storeys.
The scheme was handed over on time for student intake in September 2025 for the building operator, True Student. In line with their brand, the scheme offers student amenity spaces including a festival zone, study zones, co-working areas, games rooms and a state-of-the-art gymnasium.
This now stands as the second tallest building in Sheffield and we are proud to have our name behind changing the skyline of this fantastic and vibrant city.

Aztec successfully ensured handover of 472 bedrooms on time for True Student in September 2025 for student intake after taking over the contract earlier in 2025.
The scheme is spread over 7-storey and 11-storey blocks and provides over 1750m2 of amenity areas which include a festival zone, study spaces, communal dining areas and co-working zones. A generously sized 465m2 gym is also included.
Aztec Construction are proud to have been a part of this exciting project to complete the refurbishment of an existing landmark hotel building that had been left derelict since the early 2000’s to breathe life back into the heart of Leicester city centre as part of an ongoing regeneration in the Cathedral Quarter.

The scheme comprises the construction of a new 140 bed student accommodation across 3 blocks. Inclusive of mixed-use areas at ground
and mezzanine levels including a gym, plant room and bin and cycle stores.
Aztec have been appointed for the design and build of this project by our new Client, Stellar Cambridge, following the successful completion of a PCSA to provide additional value and cost certainty for the scheme in early 2025.
Works on site commenced May 2025 and are due to complete in August 2026.
